Energy consulting for non-residential buildings, facilities and systems

Municipal territorial authorities (municipalities, cities, counties).
Municipal associations according to the respective association law. The members may exclusively be domestic municipal territorial authorities.
Non-profit organizations, corporate religious communities and their institutions and foundations within the meaning of Section 5 (1) No. 9 of the German Corporate Tax Act
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and members of the free professions with their registered office and business activities in Germany which

• employ fewer than 250 persons and
• have an annual turnover of not more than €50 million or an annual balance sheet total of not more than €43 million. Non-SMEs with their registered office and business activities in Germany whose total energy consumption according to Section 8 (4) of the German Energy Industry Act does not exceed 500,000 kilowatt hours per year. This restriction does not apply to hospitals or nursing homes if at least 25% of the capital or voting rights in these institutions are controlled individually or jointly by a municipal territorial authority, a non-profit organization, a corporate religious community or a foundation within the meaning of the German Corporate Tax Act.

If an application is submitted from July 1st, 2023, energy advice is only eligible for funding if it is carried out by a person who is listed in the energy efficiency expert list at www.energie-efficiency-experts.de in the category “Energy advice for non-residential buildings” in the relevant category is.

Module 1: Energy Audit DIN EN 16247
This module promotes energy audits that meet the essential requirements of an energy audit according to Section 8a of the Law on Energy Services and Other Energy Efficiency Measures (EDL-G) and in particular the requirements of DIN EN 16247.

Module 2: Energy Consulting DIN V 18599
This module promotes energy consulting for non-residential buildings in existing and new construction, which enables energy efficiency and renewable energies to be included in the planning and decision-making process and thus to exploit the efficiency potentials at the most favourable individual time.

Module 3: Contracting Orientation Consultation
A contracting orientation consultation funded under this module is aimed at a contracting model with a contractual savings guarantee.

Depending on the module, consultations are supported with different funding rates.
