GRW Funding of economically related municipal infrastructure

Eligible for funding are, inter alia,

• the development of industrial and commercial sites
• the construction or expansion for the connection of commercial enterprises to the supra-regional road and rail transport network
• the construction or expansion of water supply pipelines and distribution systems, wastewater, electricity, gas, district heating and other energy pipelines and distribution systems for the connection of commercial enterprises to the regional and supra-regional supply network
• measures for tourism to improve the quality of public infrastructure in officially recognized spa and holiday resorts
• cycle and waterway paths
• nature-oriented, health-oriented and barrier-free tourism
• the construction or expansion of facilities for vocational training
• the construction or expansion of communication connections (broadband)
• regional budget and management projects for regional growth centres
• regional development concepts
• planning and consulting services
• cooperation networks
• and innovation clusters.

Subsidy for costs (only projects with eligible expenses of at least €50,000 are funded - does not apply to regional development concepts and planning and consulting services)

• Basic funding for all eligible measures = 60%
• Plus a maximum of 20% potential funding if the funded infrastructure measure is carried out as part of an inter-municipal cooperation or if the funded infrastructure measure fits into a regional development strategy or if industrial wasteland is revitalized
• Regional management projects max. 75%, maximum €200,000 p.a.
• Regional budget projects max. 80%, maximum €150,000 p.a.
• Planning and consulting services max. 75%
• Regional development concepts max. 75%, maximum €50,000 p.a.
