InvestEU aims to:

• Strengthen the competitiveness of the EU economy in research, innovation and digitalisation;
• Promote sustainable growth with environmental and climate-related aspects;
• Foster scientific and technological progress;
• Integrate capital markets; and
• Support a sustainable recovery of the economy after the COVID-19 crisis. The programme consists of the following components:
