• Mainly privately owned domestic and foreign companies of the commercial sector
• Freelancers
• Companies providing (energy) services for a third party in commercial non-residential buildings under a contracting agreement (without restrictions on turnover size)

Projects abroad can also be subsidized. Eligible applicants are German companies of the commercial sector and freelancers, subsidiaries of the above-mentioned German companies located abroad as well as joint ventures with a significant German participation abroad.

Investments for energy savings of at least 10%:

• Machinery/Plants/Process Technology
• Compressed Air/Vacuum/Exhaust Technology
• Electric Drives/Pumps
• Process Cooling and Process Heat
• Heat Recovery/Heat Utilization
• Measurement, Control and Automation Technology
• ICT, Power, Heat, Coupling Systems For projects abroad or joint ventures and investments, the costs incurred by the German investor/shareholder are eligible for funding. For projects within the EU, the share of EU joint venture partners is also eligible for funding. Outside the EU, an environmental and social compatibility assessment is required.

Loans up to €25 million per project, credit limit can be exceeded for particularly eligible projects, up to 100% of the investment costs.

• Term: up to five years with max. one interest-free start-up year (5/1), up to ten years with max. two (10/2) or up to 20 years with max. three interest-free start-up years (20/3)
• Interest rate: low interest rates, customary collateral
• Disbursement 100% You will not receive your loan directly from KfW, but from a financing partner, for example from your bank.
