Promotion of Vocational Training (ESF Continuing Education Directive)

Companies, freelancers and sole proprietors (with income tax liability or a business location in the state of Brandenburg); legally capable associations; public and free providers of child and youth welfare, state universities according to the Brandenburg University Act.
Education voucher for employees: Employees with primary residence in the state of Brandenburg (natural persons).
Further education in companies, associations as well as within providers of child and youth welfare: Companies that maintain a business location within the meaning of § 12 of the Tax Code (AO) in the state of Brandenburg, and freelancers and sole proprietors who are subject to income tax in the state of Brandenburg or maintain a business location with at least one employee in the state of Brandenburg, legally capable associations with their seat or an external office in the state of Brandenburg, public and free providers of child and youth welfare with their seat or an external office in the state of Brandenburg.

Service package for settlement, expansion and restructuring in companies: Companies that maintain a business location within the meaning of § 12 of the Tax Code (AO) in the state of Brandenburg and must have their seat, at least one business location or branch office in the state of Brandenburg at the time of granting the subsidies.

Establishment of academic further education offers: State universities according to the Brandenburg University Act.

Employee Education Voucher: Professional further education measures are supported based on individual needs.

Further education in companies, associations and within providers of child and youth services: Further education measures for competence development in companies, legally competent associations and within public and private providers of child and youth services are supported.

Service package for settlement, expansion and restructuring in companies: Participation of employees in professional further education measures in companies based on stated company qualification needs is supported in order to support

• settlement projects of new companies and the creation of jobs
• expansion investments of existing companies and the creation of additional jobs or
• fundamental restructuring of the organizational structures and technical facilities of existing companies, which serve to secure endangered jobs.

Development and establishment of academic further education offers: The development and establishment of additional further education study offers - study courses or study course modules - at the state universities of the state of Brandenburg is supported.

The subsidy amounts to 60% of the eligible expenses and is limited to a maximum of €3,000 per project. The minimum funding amount is €500. Funding can be provided twice per calendar year. The start of the measure is decisive.

Further Education in Companies, Associations, and within Providers of Child and Youth Services
The subsidy amounts to a maximum of 50% of the eligible expenses. The minimum funding amount is €1,000. Funding can be provided twice per calendar year per recipient of the grant. The start of the measure is decisive.

Service Package for Settlement, Expansion, and Restructuring in Companies
The amount of the subsidy is staggered according to the size of the company in accordance with Annex I of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 651/2014: small and medium-sized enterprises up to 60%, and large enterprises up to 50%. For the calculation of the aid intensity, the amounts are used before deduction of taxes and other charges. The requested subsidy must be at least €1,000. Individual funding based on this funding guideline is limited to a maximum of €2 million per company or project.

Establishment of Academic Continuing Education Offerings
Projects with a duration of up to 3 years and total expenditures of up to €150,000 are eligible for funding. The eligible total expenditures include:
a) the direct personnel expenses of the grant recipient and
b) the remaining expenses, which are measured using a simplified cost option pursuant to Article 56(1) of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060, in the amount of 40% of the direct personnel expenses pursuant to letter a).

Applications for funding, including the necessary attachments, must be submitted via the ILB approval authority's online portal. The respective period during which the portal is open for applications will be announced on the ILB homepage.

Education Voucher for Employees: Applications for funding, including the necessary attachments, must be submitted via the ILB customer portal between January 2, 2023, and December 31, 2023.

Further Education in Companies, Associations, and within Providers of Child and Youth Services: Applications for funding, including the necessary attachments, must be submitted via the ILB customer portal between November 14, 2022, and December 31, 2023. Approvals will be issued at the beginning of 2023.

Validity period: The guidelines were published in Official Gazette number 48 on December 7, 2022. The guidelines will expire on June 30, 2024.
